Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP)
The LCVP awards an additional certification with the traditional Leaving Certificate to students with particular subject combinations. This programme includes modules in Enterprise Education and Preparation for Work.
Enterprise Education includes:
- Enterprise Skills
- Investigation and visit to local business enterprise
- Investigation into local and community organisations
- An Enterprise Activity
Preparation for the Workplace is obtained as follows:
- Two weeks Work Placement
- Interview techniques
- Curriculum Vitae Development
- Factory visits / projects
- Visiting speakers
- Development of I.T. Skills
Points for university and other third level colleges are awarded for this programme.

This is one of our two FETAC courses offered here at Lough Allen College.
It is credited at FETAC Level 5 and consists of the following modules of study:

- Work Experience
- Payroll / Accounts (optional)

Post-Leaving Certificate: Outdoor Recreation (Levels 4 and 5)
This is our second FETAC course offered in conjunction with "Lough Allen Adventure" Outdoor Pursuits Centre in Ballinaglera, Co Leitrim.
It consists of the following modules, at both level 4 and level 5:

- Kayak Instruction Skills
- Hillwalking Proficiency
- Mountaineering
- Powerboat Skills
