School Trips

France 2009

Seize élèves du Lycée Lough Allen sont allés en France avec leurs profs Madame Mc Partlan et Monsieur Mulhern en février 2009. Ils ont passé quatre jours à Paris. Ils sont restés dans les banlieues Parisienne. Les élèves ont vu le tour Eiffel, Notre Dame, le Sacre Cœur et le Louvre. Ils ont goûté la nourriture française. Ils ont fait du shopping et ont acheté beaucoup de souvenirs. C’était une expérience merveilleuse.

 

 

Sixteen students from Lough Allen College went to France with their teachers Miss Mc Partlan and Mr. Mulhern in February 2009. They spent four days in Paris. They stayed in the Parisian suburbs. The students saw the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacred heart and the famous museum Le Louvre. They went shopping and bought lots of souvenirs. It was a wonderful experience.

C’était formidable mais la nourriture française était dégoûtante. Aussi, les gens sont très accueillants.
I was brilliant but the French food was horrible. Also, the people were very friendly.

C’était chouette. La nourriture en France donne l’eau à la bouche. Eurodisney était super. Je n’ai pas vu le temps passer. Le tour Eiffel était incroyable surtout le soir avec les lumières. J’étais très fatigué quand je suis retournée chez moi.
It was class. The French food makes your mouth water. Disneyland was great. The time just flew. The Eiffel Tower was unbelievable especially at night with all the lights. I was tired when I returned home.

Le Tour Eiffel était très intéressant et nous nous sommes très bien amusés. Nous avons passé un jour incroyable à Disneyland. La nourriture française est très différente mais je l’ai aimé beaucoup. J’attends avec impatience d’y aller encore.
The Eiffel Tower was very interesting and we really enjoyed ourselves, We spent an unbelievable day at Disneyland. The French food is very different but I liked it a lot. I can’t wait to go there again.

Je me suis très bien amusée.

C’était génial. J’ai visité le Tour Eiffel et je suis montée le Tour Eiffel aussi. J’avais un peu peur.
I really enjoyed myself. It was brilliant. I visited the Eiffel tower et I climbed the Eiffel Tower also. I was a little scared.

Je me suis bien amusé. J’ai pensé que le voyage était génial. Nous sommes restés dans un hôtel pour quatre nuits. Pendant le voyage, nous avons visité le Louvre, L’arc de Triomphe, Disneyland et les autres endroits. Mon jour favori était le jour qu’on a passé dans le parc d’attraction. Je n’oublierai jamais ce jour. Nous avons goûté beaucoup de nourriture aussi. C’était extrême. J’adorerais retourner en France cette année et vivre l’expérience encore une fois.
I had a great time. I thought the trip was brilliant. We stayed in a hotel for four nights. During the trip, we visited the Louvre, L’arc de Triomphe, Disneyland and other places. My favourite day was the one we spent in Disneyland. I will never forget this day. We tasted lots of food also. It was ……… I would love to return to France this year and live the experience once again.

Italy Tour 2007

In October 2007 a group of 40 students travelled to Italy for 5 days accompanied by their teachers Mr. Mulhern, who organised the trip, Deputy Principal Mr. Mc Evoy, Mrs. Killoran, Mrs. Foley and Mr. Doherty.
Two days in Sorrento took in tourist attractions such as Pompeii and the island of Capri, returning to Rome where sights such as The Vatican, Trevi Fountain, the Collusseum, etc. were visited and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
